Nonprofit Website Case Study
Client: Accessible Adventures

Background: Accessible Adventures, an organization seeking 501c3 status, needed a professional website to support their application process and improve operational efficiency.
Problem: The organization relied on paper-based registration for participants, lacked a centralized platform for community event information, and had limited funds, requiring a cost-free solution.
Solution: As the project manager and volunteer developer, I led the initiative to support Accessible Adventures’ 501c3 application. I created a website using Azure Static Web Apps, ensuring it was free of charge, and organized the project through Azure DevOps for efficient collaboration and task management. I implemented a JavaScript processor to handle form submissions, storing participant data in an Azure Database for digital record-keeping. The site also provides a central hub for upcoming community events, improving accessibility for participants.
Results: The website supports Accessible Adventures’ 501c3 application by providing a professional online presence. Digital registration has streamlined participant management, and the event hub has improved community engagement. Future plans include adding features for parents to check and update registration status and a volunteer sign-up form for events.
Technologies Used: Azure Static Web Apps, Azure DevOps, Azure Database, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.
